Key Staff Members

Adina started her career with Hays Allen Chartered Accountants where she trained for three years before moving to Ernst and Young. Whilst with Ernst and Young, Adina studied for her professional qualifications in both accounting and taxation and progressed rapidly through the company, eventually becoming Manager of the small business and farming department. In April 1998, Adina successfully negotiated a management buyout of her department and formed her own business, A D Holmes and Co.

Since those early days, Adina has built up the client base and raised the profile of the business to make it the success it is today. Having run her own small business, Adina is therefore ideally placed to advise business clients on the day to day issues they are likely to encounter and provide a truly proactive and value added service.

Adina not only specialises in business accounts and tax, but also in the complex areas of capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning and all related tax issues. Particular areas of interest are capital gains tax and inheritance tax on property, issues associated with transfers of assets on separation or divorce, will and inheritance tax planning and incorporation of businesses.

Lesley worked for Simpkins Edwards for several years as an accountant before joining Adina in the small business department of Ernst and Young where she gained further valuable experience. Lesley then moved to A D Holmes and Co in April 1998 and has therefore been with the firm right from the start.

Lesley specialises in all areas of accounts preparation and has up to date knowledge of various accounting packages such as Sage, Quickbooks, Farm Plan, Sum IT etc.

We are an all-female staff which has many advantages, not least of which is that you can be confident that we will always be right and win the argument!

All our technical staff have qualifications in their various fields and have specialisms in all different areas of accounts and tax meaning that we can offer an all-round service. We also have links with independent financial advisers, management accountants, bookkeepers, VAT advisers, and solicitors who we can recommend depending on your requirements.
