As you may have read on Adina’s profile page she is heavily involved with the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. In October 2013 one of DAAT’s fund raising events was completing the 4k Royal Marines’ assault course on Woodbury Common. We all volunteered to take the challenge!  It was a magnificent sunny autumn day, but that didn’t lessen the amount of water we met en route. We tried push-ups in a mud hollow, trekked through streams, waded through a deep lake, crawled through black tunnels filled with gravel and water, jogged up hills and down dales until we came to the sheep-dip, a completely submerged tunnel – which was cold!!  With a marine at both ends it turned out to be quite good fun! No-one chickened-out or collapsed, and it proved to be a fantastic team building exercise; the sense of achievement was immense. What better way to spend a fine Saturday morning in October? Between us we raised more than £1,000 in donations, cash and online. Please take time to look at the photos, every picture tells a story…… And a great big thank you to all of our sponsors!!
